The Florida A&M University Career and Professional Development Center is an integral part of the total education process. We are a team of dedicated professionals with the goal of assisting our students in their career development. We provide career counseling that will prepare and provide opportunities for students to pursue meaningful careers in a variety of professional fields and/or pursue graduate studies.
We pride ourselves on assisting our students and alumni with making informed career related decisions. We offer an array of services, from career advisement to professional development workshops, to students and alumni that facilitate career exploration and professional development.
Our goal is to prepare and provide opportunities for students to pursue meaningful careers in a variety of professional and occupational fields and/or pursue graduate studies.

The Career and Professional Development Center also partners with companies nationwide in the public, private, government, and corporate sectors seeking to fulfill hiring needs for full-time and summer employment, co-op positions and internship opportunities.
The Employer Connections team is dedicated to fulfilling the mission of the Career and Professional Development Center by connecting our talented students with meaningful employment and experiential educational opportunities and developing partnerships with employers, administrators, faculty, and alumni on projects that enhance career opportunities. We facilitate networking opportunities for FAMU students and employers through a variety of career fair events, employer information sessions, etiquette dinners and many other special events and programs.

Your Source for Talent
The FCC is an ad hoc group of Career Services Directors from 12 public universities in the State of Florida. The FCC meets monthly virtually and 3 times per year, throughout the State, collaborating with area employers who host the meetings and coordinate “networking” presentations and discussion.
