New College of Florida (NCF)

Center for Career Engagement and Opportunity

Founded in Sarasota in 1960, New College of Florida was named the No. 1 Public Liberal Arts College by Washington Monthly in 2023 and is the Honors College of Florida. With a student body of 700, New College provides students with limitless, original opportunities for success through a highly individualized education that combines academic excellence, undergraduate research and internship opportunities, independent projects, and career preparation experiences.

In the fast-paced, dynamic world economy in which we live, a well-trained mind never becomes obsolete. Our liberal arts education equips students with the ability to think complexly and skills transferable to all industries, including verbal and written communication, research, problem-solving, the ability to manage independent projects, and collaborate in teams. As a result, New College graduates have found success in all career fields. Learn more about the incredible outcomes of our graduates.

Whether recruiting for a professional role, an intern, a part-time seasonal position, or graduate or professional school programs, New College offers more than 50 undergraduate majors in arts, humanities and sciences; a master’s degree program in applied data science; exceptional STEM opportunities, including a home for world-class marine biology and marine mammal studies; and intercollegiate athletics in the NAIA.
